Allison Amato

President

Allison is channeling her project management, marketing, technology, and startup experience gained through years in corporate roles and nine years as a SAHM—to reimagine what the Castro Valley Women's Club can be. Her vision: a vibrant gathering place where women of all ages, backgrounds, and identities forge meaningful connections, give back to the community, and grow together. A Smith College graduate with a BA in English, Allison now runs a service business helping older adults navigate the emotional and logistical challenges of downsizing and moving—work that's taught her the value of intergenerational connection and gracefully navigating transition.

Carolyn Darcey

1st Vice President

Carolyn grew up in San Francisco and the East Bay, spending 38 years with Pacific Telephone/Bell/AT&T where she advanced to Project Manager and Technical Director in IT while earning her B.S. in Business and M.S. in Information Technology. Married with one daughter and three granddaughters, she joined CVWC in 2012, serving as Secretary for two years and President for four years. Her most memorable accomplishment was leading the organization's support of SOS Meals on Wheels. Through CVWC she became an avid Bridge player, and she also served five years on the League of Women Voters Board. She enjoys hiking and traveling.

Michelle Koch

2nd Vice President

After living in Castro Valley for almost 30 years Michelle Koch feels right at home at the Castro Valley Women’s Club. She loves being a part of the community, making new connections and the opportunity for personal growth and giving. In the early days before Club, Michelle and her husband spent a lot of time with their two daughters at softball fields, girl scout meetings and horse arenas to name a few activities. Michelle also graduated from Saint Mary’s College and had a rewarding career in the legal, corporate and education sectors. Since opting for early retirement a couple of years ago she now focuses her energy on projects and goals that sometimes took a back seat to busier seasons of life. Now she loves spending leisurely time with friends, adult daughters, crafting, reading, and taking convertible rides with her husband. Oh and she can’t leave out the treasured time she takes walking and napping with her two silly dogs.
